Yea! My favorite place in the mountains! We had an awesome week! Nothing beats waking up to that mountain outside the window, except lots of fun having the grandkids around!

We spent my birthday in downtown Chicago. We went to the Navy Pier and took an architectural tour by boat. It was great!

i HEART Womens Conference!!!

Another Womens Conference --

and it was just as wonderful this year as the past years.

Me, Marcie, Chelsea, and Emily S. are in the Marriott Center

waiting for the opening session to begin. I loved the wonderful talks in the concurrent sessions
and the general sessions with Julie B. Beck and Elder L. Tom Perry.
There's something about 18,000 women
getting together to learn more about the gospel,
do service projects,
and have lots of fun at the same time.
It was really fun this year to hear from my friend at the institute,
Colleen Terry. She gave a wonderful talk on the atonement.

The New Days of 47 Queen!!!

In my February Daughters of Utah Pioneers newsletter I saw the announcement for the Days of 47 Royalty Pageant coming up. I suggested to Carlee, my friend at the institute, that she should enter. After all, she was Miss Payson and just won 2nd runner up to Miss UVU. She took me up on it and tonight she was crowned the QUEEN!!!

This cute little girl was so excited to get her picture taken with the Queen!And so were we!! Selma, Makenzie, Janice and I made a girls' night out of it -- dinner at Gourmandise and then to the pageant. We were SO excited when they announced that Carlee was the new 2009 QUEEN!!! We cheered very, very loudly. Then we had to go back to Gourmandise for dessert. Congratulations, Carlee!! You'll make a wonderful queen!!
