In my February Daughters of Utah Pioneers newsletter I saw the announcement for the Days of 47 Royalty Pageant coming up. I suggested to Carlee, my friend at the institute, that she should enter. After all, she was Miss Payson and just won 2nd runner up to Miss UVU. She took me up on it and tonight she was crowned the QUEEN!!!
This cute little girl was so excited to get her picture taken with the Queen!
And so were we!! Selma, Makenzie, Janice and I made a girls' night out of it -- dinner at Gourmandise and then to the pageant. We were SO excited when they announced that Carlee was the new 2009 QUEEN!!! We cheered very, very loudly. Then we had to go back to Gourmandise for dessert. Congratulations, Carlee!! You'll make a wonderful queen!!
